My Review of Costco’s Broccoli Salad with Walnuts: My Go-To Summer Salad

Costco has been quietly adding new foods to its prepared foods section. I recently picked up a new item from the prepared foods section at Costco, and I’m honestly kind of obsessed with it. It’s their new Broccoli Salad with Walnuts, and it might just be my favorite Costco salad yet.

The salad comes packed with broccoli, kale, cabbage, asiago cheese, dried cranberries, and walnuts and comes with poppy seed dressing.

At about $6.49 per pound (roughly $14 per tub), it’s a great deal considering how much you get. I love how it checks all the boxes: crunchy, sweet, savory, and just a little tangy.

One of the best things about it? It doesn’t get soggy. I’ve had it sitting in the fridge for a couple of days, and the crunch holds up beautifully thanks to the kale, cabbage, and broccoli.

That makes it ideal for quick lunches, easy dinners, or taking along to a picnic or BBQ.

I brought it to a picnic last weekend, and it was a total hit. It travels well, doesn’t wilt in the heat, and pairs perfectly with grilled food or sandwiches.

I also love the mix of flavors. The walnuts add richness and crunch, the dried cranberries bring a pop of sweetness, and the asiago cheese gives it just the right amount of bite. The poppy seed dressing ties everything together without being too heavy or overpowering.

It feels like something you’d get from a deli or a specialty cafe—but without the high price tag.

If you see the Broccoli Salad with Walnuts at your Costco, I definitely recommend trying it. It’s a great summer salad—especially if you’ve got a picnic coming up.
