Everything I Bought in My $787 Costco Haul
I just spent the most I’ve ever spent at Costco — almost $800. To be honest, I’ve actually been avoiding Costco because every time I go, I somehow leave spending a lot more than I planned. You go in for a few things, and next thing you know, your cart is completely full.
But this was a much needed restock of basics and everyday essentials that we had slowly run out of over time. I also bought gift cards, which really pushed the total up, but even without those, I still would’ve spent over $600. So let me show you everything I got in my $787.85 Costco haul.
First, I got these Dearfoam men’s slippers for my husband. They were on clearance for only $4, which honestly is a steal. He goes through slippers pretty quickly, so at that price I couldn’t pass them up.
Women’s One A Day vitamins are on sale right now, and they’re $4 off.
My kids love Candy Snap grapes, so I bought two tubs at $7.99 each. If you haven’t tried them yet, you really should — they honestly taste like candy.
I got these Banana Republic pants for my husband, which were marked down to $14.99. Costco always has surprisingly good clothing deals, especially when they are on sale.
I’m trying to eat healthier, so I picked up a case of organic beets for $8.99. I usually roast them or add them to salads, and they last a while since they are shelf stable.
My husband and I eat Caesar salad almost every day, so I bought three bags of organic Caesar salad at $8.99 each. It’s easy, quick, and something we never get tired of.
Just Bare chicken nuggets are my kids’ go-to, and since we were completely out, I bought a bag for $17.99. These frozen nuggets are perfect for quick weekend lunches or busy weeknight dinners.
I make smoothies every day, so I’m always buying smoothie ingredients. I picked up this bag of Kirkland frozen berries for $11.89, and it usually lasts me 2 weeks.
We were out of prunes, so I picked up a bag for $9.99. This is one of those items I forget about until we completely run out.
I also bought a bag of bell peppers for $8.99. We use bell peppers for everything from fajitas to snacks, so they go pretty quickly.
We’re having guests over, so I bought this two-pack of pâté for $9.99. It’s easy to put out with crackers and makes entertaining really simple.
I bought a tub of organic mushrooms for $5.99. These are another staple that I use in so many meals throughout the week.
This was a bit of an impulse purchase — I decided to try this case of sparkling water for $19.69. I like trying new flavors, so hopefully this one is good.
Waterloo is my go-to sparkling water. I don’t love buying it when it’s not on sale, but I was out, so I had to buy a case for $9.99.
We go through a lot of hand soap, so I always make sure we have refills at home. This two-pack of Softsoap is $11.99 and lasts us a few months.
We run the dishwasher every night, so I’m constantly buying Cascade. I really hate paying full price, but I was almost out. This bottle of Cascade gel is $10.99.
A case of these Kirkland kitchen trash bags lasted us over a year, and we were finally running low, so I bought another box for $17.69. This is one of those bulk items that’s long lasting.
My kids use Cetaphil cleanser, and since it’s on sale, I stocked up. They are $5 off each, which makes a big difference when you buy multiples.
We are loyal to Gain, so since Gain detergent is on sale, I bought two bottles. They are only $15.99 each, which is a good price.
We’re heavy body wash users, so whenever body wash is on sale, I stock up. I’m not loyal to any brand — I just go with whatever has the best deal. This three-pack of Olay body wash is $3.50 off.
I was almost out of jasmine rice, so I bought a bag for $22.99. This bag lasts us a long time and we use it for so many meals.
I needed to buy a case of baby wipes for my son, and since they’re on sale, I stocked up. These Huggies baby wipes are $5 off a case.
I drink this seltzer every day, so I bought another case of Polar Seltzer for $8.99. It’s one of those things I always keep stocked.
I needed almond milk for my smoothies every day. I like unsweetened and prefer no vanilla flavors, so these Kirkland unsweetened almond milks are perfect. They’re shelf-stable, come in a case of 12 for $13.99, and last me a while, which makes them very convenient to have on hand.
My husband loves Costco’s chili, and it’s great for quick lunches. Since he works from home some days, I bought a tub for $17.46.
I love the Costco quinoa salad, and I pretty much buy a tub every time I go. These are $13.17 each, and if you haven’t tried them yet, you really should.
I can’t leave Costco without buying a rotisserie chicken. It’s still a good deal at $4.99, especially with how expensive groceries have gotten.
We’re heavy users of Cetaphil cream, and now that it’s winter, we go through even more. Since it’s on sale for $5 off, I stocked up and bought two to make sure we’re covered for the whole season.
We haven’t had this Canadian bacon in a while, so I decided to buy one for $10.59 to change things up a bit.
I never leave Costco without buying eggs. We eat eggs every single day, and ever since the egg shortages, I’ve made it a point to always stock up. At $7.69 for two dozen organic eggs, it’s such a good deal, and they don’t last long in our house.
My sister and her kids are visiting, so I bought smoked salmon to serve for breakfast. The two-pack smoked salmon is $23.99, it’s perfect for brunch.
We love the Oral-B Glide floss. It’s the only floss we use, and this six-pack is $14.99.
My in-laws are visiting, and I’m planning to take them to Fogo de Chow for dinner, so I bought $200 worth of gift cards at a 20% discount. If you haven’t been to Fogo de Chow before, it’s an upscale Brazilian steakhouse where you get an all-you-can-eat gourmet salad bar and continuous table-side service of different cuts of steak. It’s such a fun dining experience.
These probiotics are on sale, so I bought two for $13.49 each. We go through them quickly since the entire family takes them every day. These are great deal compared to other probiotic brands.
This Chobani coffee creamer has become my go-to, and Costco has the best price at only $3.97 for the club-size pack. I really like it because it’s made with real cream and real sugar, so it tastes much richer and more natural than a lot of the other creamers out there. It makes my morning coffee feel like a little treat every day.
We use olive oil for cooking all the time and we are almost out. So, I bought a bottle of Kirkland olive oil for $19.89.
I stocked up on Charmin toilet paper since it’s on sale with $6.60 off. This is one of those things we always need, and I’m always on the lookout for discounts. Whenever it goes on sale, I have to buy a case.
Kleenex facial tissue is also on sale for $15.99, so I bought a case. With kids in the house, we go through tissues nonstop, especially during the winter months when someone always seems to have a cough or a cold.
We drink a lot of coffee, so I’m always looking for good coffee deals. I’m trying this new Mount Comfort whole bean coffee from Peru that’s on sale at Costco for only $15.89 for 2.5 pounds.
This face cream is on sale, so I bought a two-pack for $21.99. I usually stock up on whatever face cream is on sale. I haven’t tried this one yet, so I’m hoping it’s good.
