Panko Crusted Oven Baked Tilapia Recipe
Tip 1: Salt both sides of the tilapia fillet
Rub salt on both sides of the tilapia fillets. Do this before you coat it with flour, egg, and panko. This is to make sure the fish comes out tasty!
Tip 2: Spread out the Olive Oil that you drizzle on the sheet pan
Make sure you spread out the olive oil that is on the sheet pan. This ensures that you get some oil on all the fish. You can also drizzle olive oil on top of the fish before you put it in the oven.

Try your best to make sure both sides of the tilapia fillets are coated with panko, egg and flour. This is so you can get maximum crispiness when it baked in the oven.
Crispy Panko Crusted Oven Baked Tilapia Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb Tilapia Fillets (or white fish)
- 1 cup Panko
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 Eggs
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C)
- Add panko, garlic, salt and pepper in one dish
- Scramble the eggs in shallow bowl. Add salt and pepper
- In a separate dish, add flour, salt and pepper
- Line an oven sheet pan with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil
- Rub salt on both sides of tilapia fillet. Then coat both sides of the tilapia fillet in the flour mixture. Then coat both sides of the tilapia with egg and then coat both sides of the tilapia fillet in the panko mixture. Place it on the oven sheet pan. Drizzle some olive oil on the fillets. Don't overcrowd.
- Bake the tilapia fillets in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 F (180 C)
- At around 15 minutes, flip the tilapia fillets
- Remove from the oven and serve!
