I Spent $931 at Costco This Month: Costco Haul for Family of Four

This month, I made four weekly trips to Costco—and spent a total of $931.97. If you’ve ever wondered what a full month of Costco shopping actually looks like for a family of four, you need to read this.

I’m going to show you everything I bought this month—plus a few things we ended up loving way more than I expected, and a couple of items I’ll definitely be buying again.

Costco Haul #1

First, I got a Salad Topper for $9.79. I love it on my salads—it just makes everything taste better with no extra effort. If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to.

I was excited to finally see Chee Forest sparkling drinks back in stock at Costco. A full case was $19.69. It’s my son’s favorite, so this didn’t last long in our house.

Sukhi’s Chicken Tikka Masala was on sale, so I had to buy a pack. It was $12.49—I saved $3.50 there. This is one of those easy dinner nights when I don’t feel like cooking.

Then I stocked up on staples: Kirkland organic whole milk for $12.99, two dozen Kirkland organic eggs for $7.59, bananas for $1.99, and half & half for $2.29. These are things we go through every single week.

I also picked up a pineapple for $3.49 and a bag of organic frozen mango chunks for $9.89. I use those for smoothies, and my kids actually look forward to them.

For lunch, I got a Caesar wrap—it was on sale for $13.68, saving me $4. I also got two bags of Caesar salad at $8.99 each. My husband literally eats this every day, so we always need backups.

Now, for my son’s favorite—I got two trays of the birria tacos. Funny enough, they were mislabeled as yakitori, but they rang up at $22.28 each. Definitely not complaining.

I also picked up prawn hacao for $15.49, which we’ve been eating a lot of lately. These are so easy to steam and honestly taste like restaurant quality.

One of my best finds was this OXO dispenser. It was marked down to $17, but since it was the last floor model with no box, the manager gave it to me for just $10. What a great deal. I’ve been using it as a cereal dispenser, and my kids love it.

I got a case of Vintage Seltzer for $8.99—I drink seltzer every single day, so this is a must in our house.

And finally, we were out of toothpaste, so I picked up a pack of Sensodyne for $25.99. My total for this first Costco haul came out to $235.50.

Costco Haul #2

Alright, Costco haul number two—I went back the following week to restock and take advantage of some sales.

First, I picked up collagen peptides. I’ve been buying collagen on Amazon, but since it was on sale at Costco, I had to get it. It’s $23.99, so I saved $6.

We were already out of Caesar salad again, so I picked up another bag for $8.99. And of course… bananas for $1.99. I feel like I buy bananas every single trip.

CeraVe was also on sale for $18.99, which was $5 off, so I stocked up. My daughter uses it every day, so it made sense to get it while it’s discounted.

I’ve also been buying matcha on Amazon, but I noticed it’s cheaper at Costco, so I decided to try theirs for $28.29. Hoping this one’s good.

We went through the prawn hacao from last week so fast, I had to get another box for $15.49. That’s how you know it’s good.

I also picked up a case of beets for $8.99—we like making apple and beet salad at home. And Chobani yogurt was on sale for $11.99, which is $6 off. That comes out to about 59 cents per cup, which is a really good deal. Of course, another case of Vintage Seltzer for $8.99.

And Charmin was on sale, so I stocked up—it came out to $26.39, saving $6.60. This second Costco haul was definitely more of a restock trip, and my total came to $180.95.

Costco Haul #3

Alright, this is Costco haul number three, and this one has a mix of staples, new finds, and a few really good deals.

We were almost out of almond milk, so I picked up a case of Kirkland almond milk for $13.99. I use it every day for smoothies.

And we were completely out of jasmine rice, so that was $24.99—definitely a must-have in our house.

I also found something new that I’m really excited about—a weighted vest for $27.99. It adds 12 pounds, and I’ve been using it on my walks. It actually makes a big difference, and I’ve been loving it so far.

The NeilMed sinus rinse kit was on sale for $17.99, so I saved $5 there.

For dinner that night, I picked up Costco’s chicken alfredo for $18.27. We haven’t had it in a while, and my kids always love it—super easy meal.

Then I restocked on milk—$12.99—and eggs for $7.59 because we were completely out again.

This auto safety kit was on clearance for $19.97, so I bought two. I’m thinking of keeping one in my car and giving the other to my sister—just one of those things that’s good to have.

It’s allergy season, so I got AllerClear for $8.19, saving $3.

I also finally bought Trident gum at Costco instead of CVS—$17.69 for the pack, which comes out to about 88 cents per pack. Definitely cheaper.

We were out of Caesar salad again, so I picked up two more bags at $8.99 each.

Pantene shampoo was on sale for $9.99, saving $3, and I added some fruit—blueberries for $6.99 since I eat them every day.

These candy heart grapes are my kids’ favorite—they’re super sweet and actually taste like candy. They were $8.99.

And yes… we ran out of prawn hacao again, so I bought another box. But this time it was on sale for $10.99, so I saved $4.50.

I also tried a new bakery item—the raspberry sugar cookies for $10.99. If you haven’t tried them, you need to. They taste like a mix between a sugar cookie and a jelly donut. So good. My total this trip came to $266.11.

Costco Haul #4

Alright, this is my fourth and final Costco haul of the month—and at this point, it’s a mix of restocks, favorites, and things we ran out of way too fast.

I was actually looking for more Chee Forest sparkling drinks, but they were out of stock, so I went with Polar seltzer instead for $11.69.

Then back to the usual—bananas for $1.99, two bags of Caesar salad at $8.99 each, and Chobani yogurt for $17.99.

Sonicare refills are so expensive, so when they go on sale, I always stock up. They were $49.99, saving me $15.

I also picked up Aveeno body wash for $15.99—my son has eczema, so this is something we always keep on hand. We were out of foil, so I got a two-pack of Reynolds foil for $23.99.

My daughter is heading to college this fall, so I picked up a Woozoo fan for her dorm. It was on sale for $26.99, which is a $10 savings—and I’ve heard really good things about this fan.

I got a pineapple for $3.49, organic berries for $10.79, and half & half for $2.29.

I also picked up burrata for $7.49—this was my first time buying it at Costco, and I’m actually really impressed. I’ll definitely be buying it again. I got tomatoes for $8.49 to go with the burrata—and yes… birria tacos again for $24.79 because my son requested it.

And I had to get the raspberry sugar cookies again for $10.99… we ate them way too fast the first time.

My total for this haul came out to $249.41. The grand total for all four hauls this month came out to $931.37.
